The Kansas State University Wildcats already have a lot to celebrate this season with the completion of the Vanier Football Complex and renovation of the Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium’s North end zone. SC Railing joined Populous, Mortenson and GE Johnson on the $125 Million renovation providing custom railing solutions that complement their design and align with the overall master plan of the K-State Athletics Facility.
Custom steel guardrail welcomes you into the newly finished Vanier Football Complex leading into a 4-story atrium featuring glass railing on stairs and balcony overlooks. This newly completed facility includes a new locker room, academic training center, strength and conditioning center, team theater, and student lounge among other amenities. The 4th floor is reserved for the football program including coaches and staff. These offices include balconies overlooking the beautifully renovated Bill Snyder Family Stadium and utilize ½” tempered/laminated glass railing with customized glass gates separating the balcony areas. From the new locker room, aluminum handrail will guide the players onto the field entering at the newly renovated North end zone.
Completion of the third renovation phase connecting the North end zone to the current west-side concourse is part of a larger plan to eventually create a fully-enclosed stadium. The North end zone expansion created better sightlines, additional ADA compliance areas and plenty of space for fans to interact while enjoying the game. SC Railing provided steel guardrail and drink rail in both the concourse and north entrance areas. Aluminum aisle, picket and custom railing solutions were created for the seating bowl, concourse and northwest terrace areas.
We’re proud to have contributed to this renovation, and wish the best of luck to the Wildcats this season!
