Edge supported glass is similar to traditional curtain wall systems and consists of aluminum extrusions. Different extrusions can be custom designed based on the project’s needs. To make custom extrusions suitable for architecturally sensitive jobs, the geometry and site conditions of the space will become a factor. Varying extrusions may also be needed in situations where multiple glazing support systems are being used and the implementation of an “off-the-shelf” curtain wall product may not be feasible.
